In the world of knowledge today all
must keep running the knowledge race and constantly
strive to acquire new skills and remain professionally
productive. It is time to shatter the status quo.The new century belongs to the newer
frontiers of knowledge. Most engineering activities are
becoming increasingly interdisciplinary and we cannot be
said to be 'working' unless we 'network' with others. New
tools and abilities are required to be added innovatively
through intelligent work in pursuit of excellence,
improved product and service quality, effectiveness,
human comfort and quality of life as also for survival in
professional occupation.

Charles Darwin has said, 'It is not the strongest
species that survive, nor the most intelligent one, but those
who adapt to changes'. The engineering graduates of today
must, therefore, become continuous and lifelong learners and
adapt continuously to professional requirement, always
remembering that the only thing constant on this earth is
change.

R&D flavor, innovation and
creativity, blended with the basics, can only keep
individuals in learning readiness and to stave off personal
and professional obsolescence.

Obviously,
we can no longer develop human resources in the same way as
we did in the past. At YCCE, we, therefore, strive to build
competent and responsible citizens needed by the engineering
profession with an eye on the future.
